Kanye is cool

Most of you are probably aware of Kanye West's ridiculous behavior at the VMA 09 during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video (link).

Not only did he made history at the VMAs, but he has also created an internet phenomenon. His meme were out almost immediately and I'll let you google them yourself.

Though this here is the most unique I've seen: http://kanyelicious.appspot.com

If you want to know what it does, try clicking this link: http://kanyelicious.appspot.com/http://tinycube.blogspot.com

Kanye is right.

WIP not so progressive.

I used to play a little with photoshop, did some sigs because they're small and fun to mess around with. But I haven't touched them ever since high school and when I tried to get back into it, I didn't have the heart to.

So I was talking to someone last night telling me how he only competes with pros, so I asked to see some of his sigs. Well I'm not going to comment on them here even if it's anonymous, but I went digging in my folders (hopefully letting him know he's not a pro because I don't consider myself one either without actually hurting his ego) and actually found some WIP I completely forgot about. Here's one:

I think they are asking to finish it. Hmmm...

Don't suicide!

Here is something that made my day:

"Government officials in south-east China have ordered workers to cover a 1,000 ft long steel bridge in butter to prevent citizens from using it to attempt suicide... "and so now we have put butter over the bridge and it has worked very well. Nobody can get up there and nobody who tries ever falls."

Soli Soli

Before you do anything watch this video:

If you weren't Korean, this is probably what you heard:

To anyone who doesn't understand, the first video is a music video of the hit song "SORRY SORRY" by uber famous Korean boy band "Super Junior". The second video is a parody featuring hot chicks masquerading as the aforementioned prepubescent boys. Doesn't get any hotter than that.

An interesting tidbit is that "Super Junior" has over 9000 members, and they're all making little girls moist. Backstreet boys eat your heart out.

Anyways thought I'd share the youtube wealth, now back to reading finance.

If cancer doesn't kill you, the army will.

You start coughing blood and experiencing chest pains on a regular basis. You go see a doctor and he says you most likely have lung cancer. They do surgery on you to open up your chest. Instead of finding cancer-looking things they find a tree.

Better believe it, don't inhale too much oxygen when you're training in the woods. You never know what you're dealing with. Enemies could be ambushing you or some seed could own you.

To all those who are going to the army because your country forces you to, good luck my friends.

Is F2P the way to go?

Outside of the vast world of Azeroth exists the world of all other MMORPG. This other category of games has existed ever since the beginning of Warcraft lore, but many WoW fanboys aren't aware of their existence (comparatively).

This blog isn't about selling 1000 gold for $2, nor is it about Blizzard's dominance in this market. I'm in fact bringing to your attention those gaming companies that haven't seen the sunlight ever since Blizzard reigned over them with what some would call a master piece (they even have their own gaming convention to promote like literally three games).

Okay, my point is a lot of these gaming companies have opted to a extremely popular model of recent years: F2P. Free 2 Play is sort of misleading though, because companies don't like going bankrupt or do charity. Most of them include a Cash Shop system while some with premium memberships let free members play restricted content. So because many P2P games have been overshadowed by WoW's wall of dollar bills, a few have recently implemented or switching to F2P models. Two games to bring to your attention: Dungeons & Dragon Online and The Chronicles of Spellborn. DDO currently restricts content for free members, but you can buy Turbine points to unlock more content or even earn them in game. TCoS is entirely free for now with no more updates/patches until they finish implementing their new F2P model.

Or maybe they weren't even good enough to start as P2P in the first place.
Give them a try, explore the worlds of... uh these games.

Back in the game

Hey all you tiny cube fanboiz, just got internet hooked up in my crib. Look out for an update soon.

Are you a Fallout fanboy? FOnline is here!

Ever since the not-so-recent-anymore release of Fallout 3, the Fallout series is back on the map. People aren't just playing 1 or 2, but instead an online version has been created. It's an MMORPG currently in open beta, and it's using Fallout 2 as its platform.

You can find more information about it HERE and HERE (the first page of the second link contains instructions on how to install and setup the server).

Is it worth your time? Well, I've only managed to play a little and there is still much to learn... but my first impression is a combination of Runescape and GTA. Does that excite you down there? Note it has a high learning curve and you could probably get killed by some sniper that you can't even see or some strong unarmed characters capable of destroying you with one hit. That doesn't stop me from trying, because what I enjoy the most is the ability to do whatever you want. You don't get censored when you swear, you can steal from other players, you can go around in parties wrecking anything that crosses your path, you can craft armor and weapons, the choices are seemingly endless. Oh I forgot, you can also drive vehicles, lol.

Luckily, it's still in open beta and a lot of things get fixed, removed, or implemented. Plus there will probably be a couple of wipes in the future so you can test different character builds and explore the game without too many high level PKers.

Let me know what you think about the game.
